How We Use Automation & AI
Automation assists the work. It does not lower the bar.
Signal Brief may use software to detect rising interest, group related queries, organize source material, calculate body-only reading time and prepare drafts. A detected trend is never proof of its cause.
What automation may do
- Detect and cluster possible trends.
- Locate primary records and organize claim-level evidence.
- Prepare a draft from an approved evidence set.
- Check dates, duplicates, reading time and publication requirements.
What automation cannot decide by popularity
Popularity or a completed draft never creates a right to publish. Missing support, source contradictions and unresolved high-risk claims stop a story from appearing. Operational diagnostics are kept out of reader pages and public metadata.
Identity and accountability
We do not invent journalists or claim firsthand reporting we did not perform. The Signal Brief Editorial Desk byline tells readers that the publication—not a fictional individual—is responsible for the account and its corrections.
